About

Oh Hai

I'm Louise Pentland, a 32 year old Mother and badass empire building business woman. Well, I spend a lot of my time on my laptop and know how to have a good meeting (supply snacks, that's the secret, you're welcome).

A shot my Daughter took, I call it, 'Natural Environment'.

I started this blog back in 2009 as a place to share my thoughts on all things beauty and lifestyle. As time went on, things evolved a bit.

In 2009 the readers of Sprinkle of Glitter encouraged me to set up a YouTube Channel talking about the things I was writing about. Seemed like a good idea and on a whim I opened an account in January 2010.

That whim turned into a whirlwind and now, seven years on I have -

Two successful Channels - Sprinkle of Glitter for weekly topical videos and Sprinkle of Chatter, a place to share behind the scenes info and footage of my daily life and adventures. Between them they have over 3 million subscribers.

The time YouTube got behind me and put me on billboards across London.

With fellow YouTube creator and friend Marcus Butler at the opening of YouTube HQ.

I also host LIVE broadcasts from time to time on my YouTube channels- they're always a lot of fun!

I manage several social media platforms, twitter, instagram, facebook, snapchat and pinterest. I don't like to pick favourites but oh me oh my I love me some insta filters!

As well as running the channels and social media, I have written a Sunday Times Number One Best Selling non fiction, 'Life With A Sprinkle of Glitter', released two clothing lines with Simply Be, completed two nationwide sell out comedy tours of Louise Live (which the BBC then made into a DVD), served a year long term as a United Nations Ambassador for Gender Equality which led to me flying out to the Vatican for a meeting with Pope Francis (what an experience that was!!) and, I am on the cusp of releasing my debut fiction, Wilde Like Me, which I have spent the entirety of the last year writing.

That's a lot of one person's face!

Zula my cat sitting regally next to my United Nations flags which were presented to my at the HQ in New York City last year.

Talking about my work on stage is one of my favourite pastimes.

Being spat on during Innuendo Bingo is not one of my favourite pastimes.

I have also enjoyed several appearances on BBC Radio One, many speaking engagements and being part of our growing new world.

I've learnt a lot about the social media and business industry this past few years and absolutely loved it. I've met amazing people (some of whom have become life long friends), travelled the world, seen new things, picked up awards (woowoo) and had the privilege of sharing all of this with a loyal, engaged, super supportive fan base. People often think the internet is full of haters but the followers of my channels and platforms couldn't be better. I've met many of them in real life and come away bursting with positivity. They're a good bunch and I like to take care of them and protect them.

One of the ways I do that is in my sponsorships. I work quite closely with a lot of brands on various projects but will never promote, endorse or feature a product or service that I don't believe in or believe will benefit my audience. Occasionally turning down big offers has been hard but letting down my audience would be harder.

If you'd like to work with me, please use the contact details above or speak to my management team, Gleam.

As you can see, I keep busy!!

My personal life is just as full on.

The absolute, all time, love of my life.

I live in Northamptonshire with my beautiful six year old Daughter, who's Father I separated from in 2014. I say this not as a proud thing to have on my virtual CV but because our relationship was well documented on this blog and my channels whilst we were together and might seem confusing if you start reading half way through the blog. We have both happily moved on and share custody of our lovely little girl, Darcy.

I spend my time (when I'm not working or doing the dreaded school run), on playdates with my Mummy friends (love them), mooching round national trust gardens, shopping (naughty), travelling (we LOVE an adventure), or curled up on the sofa with my two incredibly docile cats, Rocket and Zula.

Bright coats and country gardens are our jam.

Love wise- 10/10. I'm in a wonderful relationship with a chap called Liam. He's asleep next to me as I type. We're in New York celebrating his 40th birthday and clearly he isn't suffering from jet lag the same way I am!

I'm passionate about fashion and finding outfits that suit my shape and make me feel good, I love to find new products that make life easier, I live for taking that perfect instagram shot in new locations and I feel lost if I'm not messaging my friends for at least 40% of my day.

Mummy & Me travel adventures FTW.

I have many guilty pleasures but my biggest ones are baggy tee-shirts without bras (at home, nobody needs an eyeful of these ladies on a work day), all things Disney, country pubs and holding tiny babies (seriously, if you've got a baby that needs a cwtch, call me up).

Over the past 7 years life has had it's ups and downs but I have found that if you keep a positive head and a steady foot on the ground, things are pretty sweet.

Thank you for reading.

xx
